A #SwichApproved Cinco De Mayo
It’s Cinco De Mayo time. And while the faux Mexican Independence Day didn’t start out this way, forgive us if we’re starting to confuse it with the Mexican version of the American version of St. Patrick’s Day. Tequila, tequila!
We’re more focused on the grub than the margaritas (though only slightly), and if you’re looking for some authentic platos fuertes in NYC, you’re best bet is probably to head to the outer boroughs and make a stop off in Corona, Bushwick or Sunset Park. But unfortunately, for all their tastiness, many Mexican places in the city do not measure up when it comes to their SWICH scores. That being said, we scouted out a few in some of our favorite neighborhoods, so you can get your Cinco De Mayo on in style.
Check out this list and let us know what you think.
